Pancake Preparation LO

My entry for Kaisercraft's February Sketch Challenge #3. I've used a mix-up of different Kaisercraft Christmas themed paper ranges, as well as rub-ons, journal tages, chipboard, pearls, rhinestones and mini alphas.

Here is the sketch I had to work from.

Love This City LO and Pencil Eye ATC

This is my first entry for February's Challenge Heaven. It's for the 'transport' theme and had to use inks. I've picked a photo of Ben and I on a tram at Melbourne and used some old packaging paper which has different maps on it as the main background paper. The big embellishment cluster is a bit different for me but I'm really happy with the end result.

This ATC is the final one in the series for the pencil/charcol swap I'm taking part in.

Giveaways and Pretty Petal Club

Hello blog visitors! If you're anything like me then you're always looking for a way to acquire new craft supplies. A lot of the blogs I watch often run giveaways and I thought I'd take a moment to let you know about two of them which are running right now.

Stuff 2 Scrap are giving away 2 packages of their new goodies (as well as some old favs). This is a fantastic chipboard company and I have been very happy with their products any time I've used them in the past. I would be SO happy to be able to add some more to my collection. Comp Details.

Purple Pumkin is another small store/blog I stumped across during my blog hopping. They do a whole range of cute vibrant buttons, doilies and brads. Their current give-away pack can be seen below. Comp Details.

Lastly, for anyone who is a bit of a hand-made flower addict like me you simply must check out the Pretty Petals Club. The store sells great quality products all hand-made to order. If you join the club you get: 2 packs of the most popular flowers each month; 1 pack of the newest flower release each month; Exclusive Discounts; Inspiring Tutorials from the talented Design Team and Automatic entry into the monthly prize draws. Here is the pack being sent out for Feb.

The Life I Imagined LO

I recently stumbled across a new challenge blog, which unfortunately has just announced it's closing, and it had this fantastic tutorial for a paint-covered LO. I've kept my LO pretty close to the example as I just loved it so much. Photo is me in around Grade 10, stumbled across it on my last trip home and it just cried out for me to scrap.

Pencil Portrait ATCs

ATCsforAll.com has a pencil/charcol swap running at the moment. Since I enjoy working with lead pencils I just had to sign up. It's taken me a while to decide what theme I wanted to go with but last night I decided on portraits. Here are the two I completed last night.

Devoted LO

I'm a BIG fan of Kaisercraft products and I recently found out they run Saturday Sketches which provide the chance to win a stash of goodies. I've used the Love Notes range of papers here. I went with only one page of the sketch as I don't often do doubles but kept the idea of a pouch by creating a little envelope in which I've placed some love notes on journal tags I created.

Here are the love notes, created using the Kaisercraft 'Forever' rub ons.

Cherished Memories LO

This would have been my fourth entry for last month's Challenge Heaven competition, however I didn't complete it in time. This was for the themed challenge which was 'Grandparents' and had to have a Kraft base. The journalling is Ben's words reflecting on the death of his Grandpa in November.

Landscape ATCs

ATCsforAll.com has a swap running with the theme of painted landscapes. Even though it's been a while since I've done any painting I decided to sign up and use the swap to give me a reason to get messy again. I went with Australian landscapes because I think I live in a beautiful country, even if we're facing way too many natural disasters at the moment. :(
